Blackmores Joint Formula contains both glucosamine and chondroitin and the minerals manganese and boron.  Manganese supports the production of cartilage and bone, while boron plays a role in the chemical make-up of bones and joints.

Glucosamine and chondroitin are natural components of cartilage and major building blocks of substances that, together with protein, form the structural units of cartilage.  These structural units, called aggrecans, are important for joint comfort, elasticity, resilience and the shock absorbing properties of cartilage.

As we get older, our joints become susceptible to ‘wear and tear’ and may undergo degenerative changes, resulting in discomfort, stiffness and decreased mobility. The cartilage becomes more susceptible to breakdown and damage while, at the same time, ageing decreases our ability to maintain normal cartilage.
